Kop in het Zand

performance

The changing climate poses great dangers to humanity and we must no longer bury our heads in the sand. This is how this dance performance was born.
What does climate change mean for a small country on the North Sea that should have disappeared into the waves long ago? How does ignorance work and what happens when you become aware of a threat? Magnezy responds to the common reaction of people during a crisis: do you do something about it, or do you bury your head in the sand?
Six dancers and two musicians encourage the audience to think about the urgency of ‘being kind to the earth’. Because of its absurd humour, playfulness, and use of text, the performance is suitable for everyone from 8 years old. Tickets for Kop in het Zand are free. The performance can be seen several times at public outdoor locations.
